Rob Draper
Artist & Designer
2026 TalkRob Draper is a British artist and designer celebrated for his distinctive approach to creativity. His expertise in hand-lettering has earned global recognition, leading to collaborations with an impressive international client list—including The Golden Globes, Meta, NASA/JPL, Nike, Gap, Levi’s, Samsung, Penguin, Pentagram, Gumball 3000, Sunglass Hut, and WWF. His work has been widely featured in international press, from IdN International Designers Network and Design Taxi to The Design Museum London, High Fructose, Meta, and The Daily Mail. He has also been published in numerous books on art, design, and creativity.
When Rob’s dream job vanished overnight, he faced a choice: start over or take a leap into the unknown. Instead of walking away from 20+ years in design, he chose uncertainty—saying yes to everything and seeing where it led. The result - Unexpected detours, from working in a high-security prison to sketching on coffee cups in his spare time.
Even after achieving some dreams, life reset again—back to square one, living on a camp bed in his sister’s front room. And when ‘that’ global pandemic wiped out his work, he had no choice but to rebuild from scratch - this time, with nothing but a shed, limited materials, and an audience watching online.
Through every twist, one thing became clear: creativity thrives on constraints. His journey is proof that obstacles can be opportunities, starting small is enough, and imperfection is where the best ideas begin.
