Débora Linhares

Débora Linhares is a Brazilian motion designer at Studio Dumbar/DEPT®. With a self-taught background, she has a love for character animation and for exploring how small details in movement can bring personality into design. She enjoys experimenting with playful ideas and finding ways to make motion feel more natural, engaging and human. In her spare time, she is currently working on a short animated film, aiming to finish it by the end of the year.

Daniel Neves

Daniel Neves is a Portuguese motion designer at Studio Dumbar/DEPT®. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Graphic Design. With a strong background in visual design, Daniel brings a thoughtful and
systematic approach to his work. His passion for gaming also plays a key role in shaping his creative process, helping build a collaborative mindset and inspiring more experimental and energetic visual identities.

Emotional Lab Workshop

A hands-on motion workshop where we explore how movement can express emotions and experiences that aren’t visible in static form. Starting with simple exercises, we’ll move into experimentation, translating emotions through behaviour and rhythm using motion principles.

No strict tools, use whatever fits your idea, from After Effects to Stop-motion.

What to expect:

• Learn core motion principles in a simple way
• Understand movement from a human perspective
• Explore abstraction through motion experimentation
• 09:30–17:30. Open to all levels.

Note: This workshop focuses on motion thinking, not on learning specific software (e.g. After Effects).
