Tom and Derek are creative directors at Mother London.

Previously, they’ve done stints at Droga5 New York, and Wieden + Kennedy London.

They’ve helped create breakthrough, culturally relevant work on both sides of the Atlantic for brands such as Nike, Meta, Coca-Cola, KFC, Xbox, Quickbooks, Sainsbury’s, and most recently FIGS.

They weren’t always creative directors. They were once children. One of which grew up in the fog of San Francisco. And the other in the fog of the Welsh countryside. Their work is often a weird alchemy of these two disparate, but equally foggy worlds.

Is this a good idea?

As a creative team, we don't have a house style. We approach every project differently through a set of provocations and questions that guide us from brief to idea to finished work. In this talk, we'll share our thought process on how we get to work that resonates.
